Is doTERRA an MLM?

First off, why is an MLM a bad thing? Is it because yourself or someone you know was pressured into doing a party and building a pyramid under you and it didn't pan out? They, and everyone above you profited and you didn't? Or is it the "Pyramid Scheme" that is putting a bad taste in your mouth. Pyramid Schemes are illegal, and that is not what doTERRA is about. There is an insane business opportunity with doTERRA, yes. But check it out, you don't have to do the business side if it's not your thing. There are two different types of accounts when you become a member with doTERRA. Similar to Costco, there is a Wholesale customer account and then there is a Wellness Advocate. Wholesale customers are just that, a customer that gets to buy what they want when they want at a wholesale price. 25% below retail to be exact. The business side on the other hand, that's for individuals who are passionate about helping and serving others along side doterra and get compensated for their efforts. And, you do get compensated. Moving on. When someone tells me behind their phone or computer screen that "doTERRAS just an MLM and you are just trying to make money off people"....Well, let me explain what I do as a Wellness Advocate. You see, it all started with a small kit that fit my budget at the time. I thought the oils were cool and intriguing. I opened and smelled each one of them thinking, "What the heck do I do with these now"? I was gifted an amazing reference guide, The Essential Life Book, that literally told me what to do and how to use them. I went right to work, learning all the different things and using them vastly throughout the home and our bodies. I was naturally inclined to share with everyone I crossed paths with. Not because I wanted to make a quick buck, but because they were friggen working! I grew a passion for these natural solutions. I wanted to truly help people with their every day struggles and have the satisfaction of helping people get off their meds, kick the toxic chemicals in their home, and see true relief! That's what keeps me going, not the money. I was doing this before I realized there was any money in helping doTERRA share the message. You do the same thing. Seriously. You know that latest restaurant you went to and told your friends and family about? That was you "marketing" for that restaurant. The cute blouse you just bought and took a picture for facebook and tagged the company you bought it from. Marketing. How about the makeup selfie, your beanie, shoes. You are marketing for companies on the daily. Just as I market about natural healing and solutions with doTERRA. And, the cool thing, because I do get compensated by doTERRA I get to do this full time and was able to quit my job. Is that so bad? I have an oil community of over 2,000 people that are enrolled as members on my team. I am so thankful to be able to give them the time they deserve and the continuing education they need.

doTERRA decided to get their products out into the world reaching the masses through Wellness Advocates like me, instead of having a dusty product on the shelf and paying for advertising. Not only that, but they help people like me get out of debt and be able to focus more on sharing doTERRA. Take a look at their Free to Give Program. When you grab an essential oil off the shelf at any store, does it come with directions on how to use it? Does it have 24/7 support with an entire oil community to answer your questions and help you at 2am when you don't know what to use for your teething baby? Or how about the sourcing and purity information on said oil. Can you look that up? doTERRA is committed to education and safety, purity, potency and sustainability. Learn more at sourcetoyou.com. doTERRA is the largest leading essential oil company in the world today. Our product is more superior than anything offered. Our 3rd party testing facility will say the same. Check them out over at aromaticscience.com.

We are more than an MLM. We are a science and research company. A health and wellness company. A humanitarian company. And making a difference all over the world with our sourcing initiatives through Co-Impact Sourcing. We are quite literally changing the world and how we the people view medicine. Take a look at all the Health Care Clinics doTERRA is opening up all over. This is no joke. No fad. Not a scheme. It's a movement. And I'm apart of it and not sorry for one second. I love that I can devote more time and get more involved because "I get paid". THANK YOU DOTERRA. We are not your typical MLM. We are in fact the largest MLM in the country with the BEST compensation plan. But, that isn't why you should give doTERRA a try. I always encourage using the products before even thinking of doing this as a business. I don't want to work with you in the business if you're not passionate and don't care about helping others. And if you use to "do doTERRA" and are reading this, ask yourself, did you quit because you weren't making money, or did you quit because you were only in it for yourself. This business isn't about you. Yes, you reap massive benefits, but its about you helping to change the world and serving others. So damn rewarding.

We are not going anywhere. We source our oils in over 40 different countries that are exclusive to doTERRA only. Meaning no one else has access to our plants. We call this Co-Impact sourcing. So, when you hear someone say they have "just as good" of oils as doTERRA, that simply is not the truth. We grow where the plants grow the best, all over the world. We don't want to own our own farms. We work directly with the farmers and set them up for success and sustainability. Another example of the humanitarian efforts. While the temptation for a company as large as doTERRA may be to buy large plots of land and mass produce oils, doTERRA places great value on the expert knowledge of local farmers-many of whom have nurtured essential oil plants for generations. doTERRA recruits their expertise into a Global Botanical Network and, in doing so, responsibly supports thousands of jobs around the world. doTERRAS extensive sourcing partnerships empower doTERRA to produce exclusive, proprietary oils and blends that preserve the purity and potency of each plant. 96% of doTERRA oils are exclusive, ensuring that essential oil users receive a product that is truly special and sweet.

Now, lets talk about price. I hear all to often that doTERRA is expensive. Or that because we are an MLM everyone has to get paid so they up the price. This is not the case at all. Its all about sourcing when it comes to each essential oil, and every detail that is put into harvesting and distilling play a factor in price. For example, the labor intensive production process of Rose has a very low yield. It takes more than 10,000 freshly picked rose blossoms to produce only one 5ml bottle. Harvesting Frankincense resin is a delicate process that requires careful planning and precise skill and takes over 5 months to complete the process. Frankincense harvesters must travel long distances, leaving their families and communities behind. They often live in caves along the way as they harvest frankincense resins from remote locations in Somalia. So, the next time you see a bottle of Rose or Frankincense for $5 or $10 bucks, know that it isn't real.

Unlike others in the essential oils industry, doTERRA is built on firm science. doTERRA employs more than 30 scientists and boasts 2,200 square feet in cutting-edge laboratory space. doTERRA’s committed scientists continue to push the boundaries of rigor in essential oil testing and they are responsible for breakthroughs in sourcing, evolving models of use, and state-of the-art testing procedures. doTERRA has pushed aromatherapy tradition into the 21st century and remains the unmatched industry leader in innovation. doTERRA’s state-of-the-art lab uses the most advanced testing methods to verify the purity and potency of its essential oils. After the aromatic compounds are distilled from the plant material, each batch is scrupulously tested to ensure that it meets CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® standards.

doTERRA developed this rigorous criteria to certify that its oils contain no added fillers, synthetic ingredients, or harmful contaminants. Utilizing its own facilities, as well as trusted third-party labs, doTERRA essential oils undergo the CPTG (certified pure therapeutic grade) process to ensure that customers receive the highest quality oil, every time. And this is why, through science, research and testing, that we can safely take doTERRA oils internally. Read more here.

I'm not done, but feel I need to say " in closing"... So, in closing, if you would like to discuss doTERRA or any information you have taken today further, please don't hesitate to reach out. Nothing but love and blessings to you.
